James Thornburg

Private Thornburg contracted typhoid fever soon after arriving in Washington D.C. in the fall of 1861. He was discharged for disability in November of that same year. On February 15th, 1865 he joined Company H of the 147th Indiana Infantry where he served until his muster out on August 4th, 1865.
