Private Perry Rowe transferred to Battery B of the 4th U.S. Artillery fromSeptember 1862 to October 1863. He was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg where he lost his left leg. He mustered out of service on November 9th, 1863 and started to receive a pension by the end of the year.
