Levi Purvis

Buried Poplar Grove Cemetery, Virginia
Private Purvis was killed in action at the Battle of Petersburg Virginia. He left behind a pregnant wife and two small children.  Less than a month after he died his wife Martha gave birth to a boy and named him Levi Jr.
