John Morgan

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Died 10 October 1862

Private Morgan was wounded in the breast at the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862 and was taken to a make shift hospital in Smoketown Maryland where he would die the following month.

  His burial location was lost but he is probably in a "Unknown" grave at the Antietam National Cemetery.
