William Miller

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

 

Private Miller was severely wounded in the breast at the Battle of Brawner Farm on August 28th, 1862 and was taken prisoner. He died soon after from his wounds.

Burial location unknown.

 

He had three brothers who also served in the 19th Indiana. Jacob who was wounded and died at the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862, Christian who was also wounded at Antietam and John who was severely wounded at Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863.
