Patrick Lynch

Private Lynch was wounded at the Battle of South Mountain on September 14, 1862, Battle of Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863 and again at the Battle of the Wilderness on May 5th, 1864.

 

By the fall of 1864 the ranks of the 19th Indiana were so depleted from combat casualties and sickness they were folded into the 20th Indiana Infantry. Patrick would serve out the war mustering out in July of 1865 in Company I of the 20th Indiana.
