Asbury Inlow

Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861

Buried Mt. Jackson Cemetery, Marion County Indiana

Private Inlow was the first soldier from the 19th Indiana that was wounded in battle. On September 11th, 1861 during the fighting at Lewinsville Virginia he was shot in the left cheek with the bullet exiting by his ear. He would be discharged from the service because of this wound.

 

He filed for a pension in May of 1862.

Asbury Inlow is currently in a unmarked grave.
