Private George Garrison was accidentally shot in the right heel while at Fort Craig Virginia on March 15th, 1862 and was discharged from the service on November 3rd 1862 in Providence Rhode Island.
He filed for and received a pension after the war and lived many years in the Soldiers Home located in Grant County Indiana.
