Private Faulkner was promoted to Sergeant by the spring of 1864 when he was wounded during the fighting around Laurel Hill Virginia on May 9th. He
transferred to the 20th Indiana in the fall of 1864 with the other surviving members of the 19th where he served until the end of the war.
He filed for a pension in 1878.
