Corporal Crull rose in the ranks to Sergeant, 2nd. Lieutenant, then finally 1st. Lieutenant when he mustered out of the service in the fall of 1864. He was wounded in the right hand at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863.
He received a pension after the war.
