Mustered into service as a Sergeant on July 29, 1861
Left the service in October of 1864 as a 1st. Lieutenant soon after the consolidation with the 20th Indiana Infantry.
Wounded at the battles of Brawner Farm, South Mountain and Gettysburg.
Buried Greenwood Cemetery, Bureau Co. Illinois
