John W. Beem

John W. Beem served in the band until they were mustered out of service in the late summer of 1862. He returned home and on October 11th, 1863 he joined Company E of the 1st Indiana Heavy Artillery as a Musician. He was later promoted to Principal Musician and he held that position until his muster out on January 13th, 1866.

He filed for a pension in May of 1887.
